2nd time doing this event. It doesn’t get easier. Beautiful scenery and a real adventure type feel to the event. Shame that the organisers are prevented from providing refreshments at the finish line.

An excellent hilly half marathon with nice technical sections as well as some flats particularly the canal section. Just need a sign after you come off for the bridge at the end of the canal for any that inadvertently carry on past the bridge to turnaround as easily done. I n...

Flexible. ( Allowed me to book a place after the event entry closed) Great marshalls on the route. Good instructions at the start. Fantastically stocked aid stations. Glorious scenery. A really well organised event. I would recommend to others. Many thanks to everyone involved.

This is still a favourite event I last completed it 5 years ago and final got to run it again this year 2026 and it was every bit as good as I remember. The route is amazing the aid stations were much better stocked than the first time I ran. It was nice to see more toilets at the start area the first time there was none. The staff on route were all happy and friendly giving a boost of support along the way. Great on course photos were taken as well. The cut off time was also extended since the first time I ran which I feel is much better now. This is a great trail run and really does have it all.
