· 2024 27k Salomon Golden Trail Series ·

I took part in the Salomon Golden Trail Series 27k at LoveTrails 2024. The race is part of LoveTrails Festival which was a great weekend overall. The race had 1,000+ participants so had a great atmosphere. There was some congestion on the course but that's typical of any busy trail race. The course was stunning with amazing views and coastal trails. The aid stationed were well stocked and there were numerous marshalls on the course. When you finish you have the festival site to enjoy so there is a great vibe! Great race and highly recommended.

I found out about Love Trails on Instagram and thought it looked amazing... and it was! We camped for two nights in our van, enjoying many opportunities to run with likeminded people, listen to fantastic speakers, eat great food, drink cider and dance like a maniac to the live mu...

Some of the events on offer included: run to surf, run to coasteering, run to wild swim, run to pub crawl, sessions on hill running, plogging (my absolute favourite!), ultrarunning, injury prevention, yoga... and the epic beer mile relay - there really was something for everyone. Highly recommended if you want to go to a summer festival with a bit more of a healthy atmosphere, daylight activities and potentially less chance of hangover!
