First visit to Lough Cutra, 11 year old daughter took part in triathlon & it was a faultless experience from.start to finish. It was so well organised, everyone so helpful, brilliant atmosphere & can't wait to return next year. Well done to the organisers.

The organizers took great care on a very changeable day to ensure the safety of the youngest participants. It was brilliant to see how well organized it all was. My daughter’s smile at the finish line says it all!

I am unsure if its the run route or the timing systems, but this is the second time in a row 2021 and now 2023 that there are huge discrepancies in the kids run times. My kid and my friends kid entered and both would be very strong runners who regularly finish in the top 5 nationally at track and cross country each year, we would know some of the kids locally and some of the other top guys run times in other triathlon events and its difficult to believe that one let alone the two of them would be beaten by these people especcially with both saying they ran well with no mishaps. Having not run it is there areas of the course where kids can mistakenly take the wrong route? Besides that rant - i do think you put on a great show so well done to you all

Our two kids did the kids Triathlon. Ages 9 to 10. Parking was near the start and lots of it. Registration took about 15 minutes. The event is well staffed and appeared to run very smooth like clockwork. Transition was simple to setup. We had a nice spot on the hill overlooking the lake and transition. All the other triathlon clubs were setup around us and the kids had a lot of time playing with the other kids before the race. We brought a picnic with us, there were also concession trucks with breakfast and lunch. The kids were treated the same as the adults. They got chips, numbers and spots in the main transition area. The covered the same course but shorter. They were made feel very welcome. Entry for the kids was 25 euro each. So a family day out for 50 euro and a lot of entertainment. There was a also a live band on stage. Very nice vibe to the event. It's probably not the place if you want to set a new PB on your custom made TT bike. If you are looking for a no hassle fun day out for the sheer pleasure and enjoyment of the activity it's the place for that. Top class. Well done.

This was a fantastic day out for Heidi and the whole family! It was her first triathlon and the organisers were great at making the kids feel comfortable in the water and with the course before starting. She loved it!

First ever triathlon for my 8 year old daughter and I have to say the organisation was fantastic and the on field and transition marshals were simply outstanding!

My only issue was at the finish line, my daughter was nearly one of the last juniors coming in and as such ran down the final straight and over the line on her own to what I believe should have been a big welcome from the gent on the microphone, instead he completely ignored her as he was speaking with a regular competitor, not even mentioning the name of the 8 year old girl finnishing her first ever triathlon as she walked right past him

It was the only thing which left a sour taste in my mouth of otherwise what was a fantastically well organised and run event
