Brilliant event from start to finish. We were well prepared from videos before and right up to leaving the campsite on Sunday. Every staff member and volunteer was friendly and helpful. Can’t wait for next year.

This was my second sprint aquathon in Lough Cutra and just like last year, I thoroughly enjoyed the event. The setting was stunning and the event was really well organised. The finish area was very impressive. I would love a 1k swim and full 5k run combination to do justice...

This was my second sprint aquathon in Lough Cutra and just like last year, I thoroughly enjoyed the event. The setting was stunning and the event was really well organised. The finish area was very impressive. I would love a 1k swim and full 5k run combination to do justice to the event. Also, I think the swim exit needed another 5m of submerged rubber matting to help us travel quickly once upright. Overall, I'd highly recommend it. Thanks to the all the team. I hope to be back next year

Great full weekend of sporting activities to suit all ages interests and abilities. Lough / Castle Location very special - exceptional. Throw in a glorious sunny warm weekend at it was near perfect. Organisation/ Registration and pre race info (videos and briefings etc) excellent as was organisation and helpful staff and marshals on the day. Route signage and marshalling excellent. Magnificent medals. Real bus and fun atmosphere. First time for me - I'd happily take part again and recommend.

Always well run, 1st time to take part in Aquathon at Lough Cutra. Run course is more like a trail run with lots of different surfaces to contend with, not ideal for road runners. Lake swim was lovely, water nice temperature.

A sprint Aquathlon is 1km swim then 5 km run. Please don't shorten it to 750m swim and 4.5 km run. The event is already short enough. Transition for the Aquathlon was an afterthought. It consisted of a sign. No racks, boxes, mats, etc. and no attempt to neutralise transition for ...

A sprint Aquathlon is 1km swim then 5 km run. Please don't shorten it to 750m swim and 4.5 km run. The event is already short enough. Transition for the Aquathlon was an afterthought. It consisted of a sign. No racks, boxes, mats, etc. and no attempt to neutralise transition for a national championship race. The 4km mark on the run was about 300m from the finish! Lots of room for improvement.

That run course is poor ! Its less than 5k, but almost 1km through a cattle field in long grass, potted with holes and rucks, with more than a few sprained ankles on the day. Id say impossible to race. No issues with off road run, but never again for me. Beautiful swim, no proble...

That run course is poor ! Its less than 5k, but almost 1km through a cattle field in long grass, potted with holes and rucks, with more than a few sprained ankles on the day. Id say impossible to race. No issues with off road run, but never again for me. Beautiful swim, no problems there. Lots of races on at the same time, hard to race against your competitors as you done know who is in your race. The aquathon was a TI championship race and yet the timing company could not display any AG results per category on the day even though at registration you supply all that infor. Peter Jack, as always , was brilliant !

The organisation was very good and the venue was excellent. The layout and the timing of all of the events was conducted incredibly well and the organisers were super friendly and helpful. The run course, although it's pretty, it's very dangerous for injuries.... If you're going to jog it, you'll be fine byte if you're racing it, is a completely different story. There were hidden holes everywhere in the the "long grass" secretion and you go through a lot of different terrains... Basically ours a cross country race with uneven trails.

Race briefing led you to think it would be strict and officious (talking about holding pens) but actually it’s quite relaxed and friendly. The on line race briefing was different to actuality so not sure I gained anything listening to that eg Brian mentioned 7 buoys, green route on map whereas it was 4 buoys and blue/white signs in the event.
