I love a Run for All 10k. Always so well organised. Quality medal and a good goodie bag. Perfect race to fit into a spring marathon plan.

Really enjoyed the event. Well organised and plenty of advanced comms around what was happening. It was well marshalled and was a fun feeling on the day. Shout out to the 1hr pacer, she did an amazing job. Kept to a spot on pace and pushed us through to the end, wouldn't have made the time without her. The course was interesting and took in lots of the town centre. Heading up London road was a little tight, could have done with more of the road assigned to the runners. The only part of the course that wasn't totally clear was the last 500 meters, snaked around the back roads and needed to be little more obvious to the runners. Other than a few small issues it was a great event to be part of.

Unlike previous years you have to collect your race number on the day unless you're local and can get into the city to collect it beforehand. There were nine loos available for the just over 800 runners at the start and this meant long queues right up until the start of the race (4 minutes before the race start there were still 20 of us waiting, and I'd already been queueing for ~25-30 minutes!). I feel if they'd had a better toilet situation before the race it'd have scored a lot better. The start is on the High Street which is a slight down hill - the ground here can feel slippery when wet, but haven't yet slipped over in all the years I've run through the city. It's then a mile of constant up-hill to Victoria Park and most of the race is around that and the University which makes the bulk of the race fairly undulating. I you do the parkrun there, or either the 5K winter/summer series then you'll be very familiar with a good portion of the route. It is however then a 2km from the top of New Walk downhill to the finish. I preferred this race in previous years, and based on it's current format would prefer to do Leicester's Big 10K in April instead.

Brilliant event! It was my first time running this and I will definitely be back. The marshalls were excellent and there were a lot of them! The run is inclusive for all abilities and the route (apart from the hill at the start!) was very enjoyable. A great medal and t shirt at the end and as it finished in the town, there was a pub right on the finish line which is always a bonus!
