I love the Leamington Marathon and enjoying preparing and participating in the event. The staff are all professional. But there are some minor things that could be reviewed. If feasible, a few more drink stations along the route. At the end a sensible manner to get drinks, sustenance and medals for the runners - rather than guessing and having to go back. Also, maybe have the T-Shirt station closer as well as improving the queueing to be able to pick up the T-Shirt. However, I do thank you for organising the massage company.

Great event, very well organised. Could do with more portaloos to avoid the massive queues.

Decently organised event, I wish they'd confirmed it's a good idea to come 15 min early at least but staff were very friendly.

This was my third year in a row taking part in this, my home town event. Thankfully it was slightly cooler than previous years! Overall I really enjoyed it, I like the mix of town and countryside, the route is very scenic and the support on the course from members of the public and marshals is fantastic. Some steep hills which feel very difficult at the time but thankfully lots of downhills as well to balance it out. A few things that I think could improve the event are more toilets at the start, better organisation when giving T shirts out as the queues were really long and a different approach to the warm up. I did the Two Castles 10k the week before and they did at least two or three warm ups leading up to the race start which were spaced out in time. This was good if people were there early or queuing for the toilet etc. as at least they had the option of doing the warm up before or after. I totally understand that the lady leading the warm up was also running, so would not expect her to lead three warm ups but it's something that could possibly be looked at for the future. It was nice to have the stalls such as food and hotpod yoga to wander around after the finish. Overall a really enjoyable event, would absolutely recommend and great marshals and volunteers!

Really enjoyed this half marathon, probably because I smashed my personal best but non the less it was a hassle free day, no worrying about where things was or where to go. The route was a lovely route from what I can remember, stared at the tarmac for the most of it but the locals was all getting involved with their hosepipes out, handing sweets out and all the good stuff we like to see! There was little to no congestion, the race starts on big open roads so there was plenty of room to over take and get to where you wanted to get without too much if any dodging of people. What I will say is the course was hillier than I expected! I read the elevation gain before hand but it definitely felt like more!!! But all in all a lovely route, locals got involved and was lovely and it was a stress free day! Finishes nice and central close to all the local bars which is always a bonus!

I had a great race but was really glad I carried my own drink, didn't get any injuries and didn't use bag drop etc. People that needed these struggled to find volunteers and had long queues. It'd be great to see more volunteers next year.

5th time I’ve done the race. Never enough toilets, have a long journey to leamington and have to factor in minimum of 20 minutes for toilet queues.

Not enough toilets at the start area, meaning the queues up until race start were huge. Seriously understaffed 'bag drop' area, if you could call it that at all - not signposted so had to ask around to find it. The bag drop was not advertised in communications prior to the event, so everyone was having to Google the website to find out if there was even one there. I assume they didn't want people to use it due to understaffing, but this only works if events are exclusively for locals so isn't fair to those of us travelling from afar. Post race, the bag drop queue was also the queue for the children's fun run registration, meaning wait times were excessive as each family was having to fill out details on the wrist bands at the front of the queue. Separate area for bag drop needed and more toilets. Not enough marshals around the course. I was having issues with me knee and realistically needed to pull out, but being in the back lanes of the area with no local knowledge and nobody around for a long distance meant having to continue.

Only issues that could have been improved was one more water station would have been ideal and the t-shirt sizing was not good at all and there was no ability to switch a size on the day. Other than that an incredible day.

Enjoyable race with a great atmosphere and decent organisation. Could do with an extra aid station in between Cubbington and Hunningham.
