This was the second time I've run this and I absolutely love doing this race. No tee, medal or goody bag for it just a good excuse to get your feet wet and your legs muddy in the dark. It's a perfect trail route to test everything in your legs and easy to navigate around ...

This was the second time I've run this and I absolutely love doing this race. No tee, medal or goody bag for it just a good excuse to get your feet wet and your legs muddy in the dark. It's a perfect trail route to test everything in your legs and easy to navigate around by following the arrows. My only negative is there was a lack of direction arrows for vehicles pointing to the venue.

Did this night race last year and loved it so decided to do it again. Cheap to enter but no medal, tee or goodie bag. A new start/finish and route but still a great course. Woodland, tarmac, grass, hard gravel tracks etc. Tea/coffee/cake for sale before and after plus a stall ...

Did this night race last year and loved it so decided to do it again. Cheap to enter but no medal, tee or goodie bag. A new start/finish and route but still a great course. Woodland, tarmac, grass, hard gravel tracks etc. Tea/coffee/cake for sale before and after plus a stall selling event tees. A few front runners went the wrong way and were disqualified but I found the route easy to follow. Chip times available the next day and pics a few days later. A great race, would recommend.

Saturday night night trail race. Easy online registration and on the day pick up of bib number and timing tag. Parking right next to registration area. Startline was about 10 yards away also! A couple of stalls serving tea and coffee and also one selling T-shirts and hats. Great 5 mile run through mid, puddles, soft grassland, gravel tracks and woodland. Got caught out at the end as we were flying through the wood and the finish line suddenly appeared! A great night time trail race.

Easy online registration, plus simple on the day bib number and timing chip pick up.

Registration, toilets, tea/coffee stall and t-shirt stand at the start.

No headtorch sales on the day, so bring your own.

Course was really good. Bit mad at the start though due to going straight into mud and big puddles. Runners tried to go round it, just run through it! You are going to get wet and muddy anyway.

Most of the time you are running through woodland on tracks, soft grass or mud/puddles.

Remember that headtorch though it's dark!

The race is chip timed and the results were published the next day.

Pictures were taken just after the start and at the finish. These were also published the next day and free!

No medal, t-shirt or memorabilia (apart from smiles and muddy boots) at the finish but this is to keep the entry price low, only £13.

Loved this run, challenging but fun. Smiled most of the way round. Would recommend and definately do it again.
