There was a big mention of the boat launch area being VERY slippery by race organizers and some rubber mats were set out for returning swimmers to get traction. However, it was clear that there were several extra mats not in use which could have helped.

Thanks, Alan! We have a better plan for next year. It was a mess, the rubber mats were floating up. We tried sandbags but those did not work well. Thanks for your patience and feedback, it will be better next year.

This was my first Triathlon ever, the organization of the event was greatly appreciated! I didn't have to guess at anything and was able to just focus on finishing. The course was perfectly marked, and the entire event was flawlessly managed. Highly recommended!
