Great run through Newcastle’s centre but the organisers have prioritised sheer number of kids over safety and fun. The course is narrow, absolutely rammed with people and takes ages to get started. Disappointing, they should. Cut the numbers by several thousand and look to expand...

Maybe a sign to encourage those who are slowing down or walking the route to stay to the right side of the track. There was a lot that were in groups of 3-5 people in the middle of the road and at times it was tricky to squeeze past them.
