Fantastic half marathon. Small event, but run incredibly well. Mixture of roads and some trail paths. Roads are open and under traffic management but it was absolutely fine, and the relaxed atmosphere on the IOW helps with this. Marshals were all in great spirits, and the medal was excellent for such a small race. Number pick up, bag drop and showers/toilets are in the rowing club, but never felt congested or needed to queue. Bag drop volleys were extra friendly, and it was nice to have a chat with them post race. I’d definitely recommend this HM; the views are amazing and it’s a pretty (albeit lumpy!) route!

It was well marshalled and signage was good (I didn't get lost anyway). Marshalls were very patient and encouraging. No one seemed to mind that I was last around the course. There was alot of whooping and cheering. I had been injured and hadn't really trained, so I was so unsure about starting it to be honest. Having travelled from the Midlands, I would have been disappointed if I hadn't at least tried. I must say, the two backwalkers were encouraging, and amazing. I felt so guilty for keeping them back from the next runners. About ½ mile in front. But they were just brilliant. Keeping in contact with base at every opportunity. Just so friendly . Yes so I would recommend this run to any one. It was a hilly and varied terrain, and through some lovely areas too. Thank you so much Ryde Harriers for making it inclusive. Being a CIRF and also quite involved with parkrun I was very concerned about holding everyone back. So thank you soon much

Marshaling was brilliant. I was slow but they cheered me on. Fantastic. For me, the road traffic was a bit scary. I felt quite vulnerable on some roads as there was just two of us (not a larger, more visible group)
