Second running of this race and it really is a Run for all. As ever with the runforall events, the organisation is spot on and has that big event feel to it. A large barriered start finish straight, closed roads and plenty of support out around the course (i thought it was the best it has been this year). My only criticism of the event is the route. For the majority it's fine, but it's very twisty and there are a number of dead turns which are time killers. Theres also a few sections on cobbled roads which againisnt great under the foot, especially on busy sections. Tshirt, great medal and a pint at the finish, along with a very generous goody bag with drink, snacks and samples. Overall, would recommend.

Nice local half course for me. Well organised and run by the Run For All team. First time running the half - we followed the 10k route then down towards the University and back. Crowds better on the first half of the run and then support was sparser but the cheering marshalls were amazing. I felt that the signage was confusing / a bit too sparse in the city centre upon returning and I had to ask each marshall where I needed to go. To be honest, I wouldn't run the half again but I'm already signed up for the 10k next year. but if you're local to Hull and want a flat race then it's worth doing.

It was my first time doing this event and compared to other half marathons I thought it was poorly signposted for directions and I actually had to ask random people on the street which way they’d seen other runners running. Through the city at the beginning the support from the crowd was great, but I thought there would be more spectators along the rest of the route. I would suggest that maybe through the city you should put barriers up for the route, as I had someone walk in front of me with a pushchair! I also really hate going back on myself route-wise so the end 2/3 kilometres were horrible going in circles around the same few roads...
Apart from all of this, I thought the volunteers did an amazing job and the start and finish line crew were great. The overall feel of the run was good, but for me personally I don’t think I’d do this again.
