2025 Hotcake Hustle at Oak Point Nature Preserve - Plano, Texas Even with the weather constraints the preceding two days, bumping the start to Sunday morning turned out to be a great day for a race with clear and sunny skies; 41F; feels like 36F; wind: 9mph NW gusting to 12mph. We were glad to get to run the entire course (only fliiping to the east side of the pond). No worries of overheating on todays run! Great job to all the volunteers and staff for supporting all the runners.

Walk from designated parking lot to race start was VERY icy and snowy. Walkway did not seem to be treated. I did completely fall on the way and am still incredibly sore from the fall. Fortunately nothing serious but just something to be aware of when inclement weather has effecte...

Walk from designated parking lot to race start was VERY icy and snowy. Walkway did not seem to be treated. I did completely fall on the way and am still incredibly sore from the fall. Fortunately nothing serious but just something to be aware of when inclement weather has effected to race site. Additionally the standing water and excessively muddy spots were a mess and slippery as well. Other than that variable the event was ran very well.
