I took part in the 10K went with a colleague who signed up on the day I was told she couldn't enter the 10K only a 5 k which was very disappointed meaning we had to run separately What was strange was very low turnout of runnersso she could easily have been given a place in my 10K race there is literally a dozen in the 5K that he was running in You start near a cow grid which is a bit worrying they put balls over the top in sections so everybody bottlenecks it is a very hilly race running through Farmland Woods etc people only 8 stations were very friendly the 10K is 2 laps of the course and on the second time round I was absolutely exhausted It didn't help the people were running with their dogs and nearly tripping you up I feel this needs looking into as I can several others in the head accidents with the dogs getting underneath your feet There are some lovely views as she run around the course it was a bit confusing when you came in to finish the race there were two different routes you could take at the end and wasn't very well marshalled at this point A nice touch at the end a non-alcoholic beer was offered shame it wasn't full beer Another problem was the bike race that was going on at the same time once again nearly getting run over made it all a very confusing event The goody bag was a very poor standard a couple of very small chocolate bars and teabag was in mine not a race I will be rushing back to attend in the future unfortunately

Thanks for your feedback Gary and sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the event. I'm not sure why your friend didn't enter the 10K . But there must have be a reason for this with my registration crew. It's rather late letting us know 7months after the event though as you could have spoken to me on the day and we could have sorted this for you. Sometimes items in goodie bags fall out and this is clearly what has happened in this case, which I apologies for. We are know for providing a very comprehensive goodie bag and in ten years have never had anyone complain. We had 6 events running at the same time on the day, so there is bound to be some cross over with finish times and flow of the event. Thanks again for your comments.

I really enjoyed the event, the race organisation and course where good. I had already been worn about the cattle grids on the course, this did cause some bottle necks as the boards to run on were in the middle perhaps putting to the sides would have been safer. The bikes riding ...

I really enjoyed the event, the race organisation and course where good. I had already been worn about the cattle grids on the course, this did cause some bottle necks as the boards to run on were in the middle perhaps putting to the sides would have been safer. The bikes riding through the car parking area also seemed to be challenging at times as a runner walking back to my car I wasn't aware they were still racing at this stage. I can understand why the riders were put off by walkers and spectators in the road. There was confusion at the end where the finish was too. Signage or marshal directing needs to be clearer. I will be back next year! The prizes for the canicross runners were a great touch, not many race companies include them in placings/categories. thank you for a great race!
