My second time running this race.  Great little race to end the year and love getting a pig shaped route on your GPS mapping.  Mixture of closed road and pavement running but overall a nice route.  If running for the first time then advice woukd be don't go big at the begging - there is a fair amount of uphill and most of it in the first third of the race starting after 1.3km mark. The good news is, what goes up....  My only crticism is not the race itself but seeing runners discarding plastic cups from the water station when there was clearly kids holding a large plastic bin a few feet on - seriously runners, have a bit of respect and carry your cup the few feet and to put in a bin!  On that note, not using single use plastic cups would be better,  Overall a great race and will be back next year.

My first Hogs Back RR and was pretty impressed. Lovely setting for a run. Absolutely brilliant marshals and more local support than expected.
It’s local, no frills but excellent. Views and downhills are totally worth the up hills.

This was my first Hogsback RR but it won't be my last, despite the enormous number of runners (and cars) the marshalls did a great job of getting us parked in a timely fashion. If there was a race briefing I did not hear / see it but it wasn't really necessary, you picked your expected finish time area at the start line, the course was very well signed and the marshalls were excellent. Water and jellies were offered at the 5km mark. View from the hogsback was partially obscured by vegetation but we saw glimpses of it between breaks in the trees.. Only slight negatives were: 1) the shortage of toilets and lack of toilet paper 2) we never received a text or email with our chip times, we found the results had been posted online 24 hours after the event.

First time doing the Hogs Back race, Amazing course, killer hill with a welcome pit stop at the top. Parking was fine as I arrived early and the start finish set up was up to the usual AAT standards with friendly stalls and helpful volunteers. The only thing I'd say is more toilets and more toilet rolls needed next time!

If you love hills this is the race for you! Stunning scenery along the Mount (helps take your mind off the hill before then!) my 4th race and the warmest driest one yet. Love it! What’s not to love about a pig medal and GPS route!

Prizes for only 1st place is tight for a big race. Race did also not go onto Power of 10.

Excellent race, well marshalled and a good route if you like hills! Best thing was the DJ, all races should have a DJ at the start finish line playing the best of 90’s house!

Arrive in plenty of time - the race sells out so parking is busy. You can get dropped off by taxi to avoid the queue but otherwise not easy to reach by public transport. AAT marshals are full of energy and great fun.
