My first ever canicross race, and what a lovely, well-organised event it was! 🐾 I also brought my mum along to take part in the trail race, and we absolutely loved it! What made this event extra special was seeing the passion of the organisers and just how much it means to them. I’ll most definitely be back next year and will be recommending it to all my running friends!

Hoby Hop accommodates canicrossers with a separate race start. They even have prizes for the dogs! The atmosphere is relaxed and super friendly. The best bit is always tea and cake at the end!

My first time running The Hoby Hob Trail Race, and I’m glad I picked this year as it was the 10th Anniversary of this race and I loved the route, apparently this was the original? I hope it’s kept as I was a great route to run. The marshals were all out there doing a grand job...

My first time running The Hoby Hob Trail Race, and I’m glad I picked this year as it was the 10th Anniversary of this race and I loved the route, apparently this was the original? I hope it’s kept as I was a great route to run. The marshals were all out there doing a grand job, the markers were clear and pointed you in the right direction. If you like XC then this is a great start to the season, A bit slow going over the farmers fields, but easier as they were dry. I don’t have any negatives for this race, my only low mark was for the medal (Wooden) but at the money to pay for this race I wouldn’t expect a metal medal (it’s all about the bling! 😉😂😂😂) Stuart and the whole team did a great job and I look forward to to returning next year. Great small community event located in the charming village of Hoby. Organisers were very happy to help when I needed to change from Canicross to Trail events at late notice due to my dog being unwell. Would suggest some water would be welcome at the finish as it’s a fair walk ...

Organisers were very happy to help when I needed to change from Canicross to Trail events at late notice due to my dog being unwell. Would suggest some water would be welcome at the finish as it’s a fair walk back to the HQ at the village hall.

What a great event. I dropped a star on congestion, because there are stiles - it’s part of the fun trying to time your approach. Yes there was a queue for the first stile, but that’s the way it is, and if it matters to you, you need to run faster and get to the front. Those of u...

What a great event. I dropped a star on congestion, because there are stiles - it’s part of the fun trying to time your approach. Yes there was a queue for the first stile, but that’s the way it is, and if it matters to you, you need to run faster and get to the front. Those of us who aren’t chasing a time / position quite enjoy the breather. Great organisation friendly people varied and interesting route with superb views. Oh, and the wooden medal was lovely.
