Great to race again at hever and to get the chance to compare to the races I’ve done there previously in September. Registration process is smooth and clear, always plenty of info provided in advanced. Swim is a fun and challenging course, would have been nicer with a bit less weed and silt but appreciate the constraints of the lake. Bike was mega fun as always, technical and hilly but fast if you put the effort in in the right places! Much preferred racing on the longer 45/60km loop here versus the 20km loop that is used in the September races. Better starting intervals and the longer lap means the course feels much less congested and much safer with a lot less traffic (both other riders and cars) to navigate. Would recommend to the organisers to maximise the use of that loop at future events to spread the race traffic out and give a better race experience for those racing rather than aiming for completion. Even with some confusion in the results a great finish line and podium experience and overall a great event.

Well-organised, slick registration and racking as always. Plenty of room too. Pre-race briefing on the Loggia covered everything nicely. Swim - murky, shallow and weedy, but loved it all the same - fairly unique to Hever, having both lake and river sections. Bike - even hillier than expected (as always!), but with plenty fast sections in between. Challenging and with stunning views all around. Traffic was mostly quiet this year - junctions well-controlled by marshals. Surface was lovely in parts, but still that terrible section up Hartfield Road. Black Hill feed station was very well-run - bottle exchange at speed! The optional 4km run is well-worth doing if you've got anything left. Nice medals and good selection of snacks at the finish line. Improvements: - The gravel section by transition - worse than ever. Must be a way to make this safer/rideable - boards & carpet? - Extra loop at the bottom of Maresfield didn't match the GPX - wasn't expecting that. - The results system - missing splits/odd placings etc. - Some potential supporters are put off coming due to entry fees.

A very well organised event - good communication from organisers when I had to change from the half Ironman option to the aquabike as couldn’t run due to breaking my big toe. Video race briefing helpful and a lot of email communication . There were a lot of little extra costs which other races might offer for free such as spectator tickets / paying for photos / paying for a tracker for bike and run . Lovely swim in the lake - my favourite part ! Marshals were great at controlling traffic at significant turn points - good signage on the bike route although it did get confusing at points as I think there was another sportive in the area - also car traffic got busy later in the day which will happen if you are doing the long distance tri or aquabike long . Drivers not very patient whilst going up hills which can be dangerous at times . Marshals handing out bottle for the bike en route were great although some of the bottles too big for my bottle cage so not sure if smaller bottles could be an option ? Inspired to race with some Olympians and irongran - oldest woman still doing Ironmans ! A tough but very enjoyable race overall in a scenic setting :) would highly recommend !

What a day! Short/easy access once you’re parked up. Slick registration process in the morning with space to sort all your stickers and bits before entering transition. Super friendly officials and marshalls with the odd exception. Fantastic lake swim - shallow and weedy in parts...

What a day! Short/easy access once you’re parked up. Slick registration process in the morning with space to sort all your stickers and bits before entering transition. Super friendly officials and marshalls with the odd exception. Fantastic lake swim - shallow and weedy in parts, but all adds to the fun and challenge! Lovely cycle, beautiful countryside and great event village. Loved the live music, deck chairs and gourmet food / pizza. Loos with plenty of toilet roll too! Something for everyone. Would highly recommend.

Well run and slick event. A bit tricky near Maresfield where the GPX course didn’t match the actual course. Also one marshall didn’t know which way to point me, which was very confusing. Otherwise a really fun event, thank you.

Really well organised, pre race recording was great to follow the night before & emphasising how long before start time should get there. Really nice bike course, very hilly undulating but beautiful scenery. Good feed station, although coke would be a good addition/option too (personal choice though). Great atmosphere before and after. After mounting you have to cycle over lots of gravel for around 50m and it felt extremely unsafe so hopefully next time this could be covered over? I loved the option of finishing through the finisher shoot, I forgot my trainers so ran through with my baby and son which was a lovely moment!

Very well organised … challenging and well run event. However there was a shortage of marshals particularly in areas not userd before eg Maresfield. Easy to go wrong. I also came access a couple of marshals who didn’t know where they were themselves.

The event was great and the staff and volunteers were amazing .. the bike mount and dismount were very sketchy indeed… almost dangerous. But the atmosphere was amazing
