This is an outstanding beginner triathlon - a pool swim, then an undulating bike course (2 laps) and 4 laps of the playing field for the 5km run. It is a split transition so you need to be quite planned and organised, but the support is excellent and the finish area is really good. Definitely bring the family along and have a great day!

This was my very first triathlon and I had no idea what to expect. The marshals were helpful and friendly, the pre race instructions clear and while I was nervous, I felt very welcome. Upon registration the volunteers could have mentioned that there are potholes on the steep downhill and shady parts of the bike course, and the 4 lap run in the direct sun was an absolute killer. Otherwise a fantastic race and I’m looking forward to my next triathlon!

This was my second triathlon here and over all. I knew what to expect so it was quite easy.I am planning on returning next year. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There is definitely a space for improvement, so I agree with some earlier comments on potholes and shade; luckily bike ride was partially in the shade. 4 x laps of running on the grass under the hot sun is definitely something that I wasn't looking for, and you cannot hear the swimming pool briefing.

My first tri and I loved it. A very well organised event with a great atmosphere. .Beautiful bike course and flat run course, although it would have been nice to have a more interesting route for the run course. It was easy for spectators to watch it though.

A really good event, especially as I’m still a relative novice. Supportive and good opportunities for a PB. Only criticism is that the cycle route could’ve been slightly better signposted as on a long stretch I was unsure if I was still going to right direction. Overall great day...

My 1st triathlon so I was a nervous wreck, so many things could go wrong despite all my training!!! I need not have worried. These guys have it nailed!! Great pre-race info. Very clear and accessible venue. Everything was perfectly organised and absolutely clear, you just can't get in a Muddle. Wonderful marshalls and volunteers. A fantastic experience. Brilliant for spectators. I'd highly recommend for those seeking a pb, newbies or those who aren't confident. Thank you for such a positive experience x

Absolute pet hate of mine is taking so long to publish results - made even worse when they’re trying to take money for the next race and this one’s admin hasn’t even been finished!!! Come on folks a simple email/text/published on website within a few hours of finishing should be table stakes these days!

Hot days need more shade. It does not cost much to put up some gazebo things to hide from the sun (or rain) There are pot holes on the bike course, in a dark descent, I know its out of the control of the race organisers, but it is something to be aware of.
