I loved how friendly everyone was all through - all the supervising marshals and organisers were very helpful. In particular, I would like to call out Kerry for helping me sort out a helmet with my 6 year old running the triathlon (she borrowed it from her 7 year old son) and I couldn't have been more grateful. She was so incredibly helpful and inspiring. I hope she did her triathlon yesterday successfully :)

Lovely event. My 9 year old daughter competed. Great for kids especially first timers as a parent can help in All transitions Results very slow to come out. Registration should be where the event starts, not a 0.5k walk away Long walk from car park to the event. Pre planning needed ++ for timings. We were nearly late for start!

Great atmosphere and effort put in with music and the finish announcer and water cups on the run, to make the children feel just as valued as adults Clear maps showing the link between the T1 area, the bike course and T2 would be helpful as parents had to sprint between these and it was not clear whether to go via the wooded pathway or on the actual bike course. Also clearer info about how to find registration on arrival. Recycling bins would be good

The majority of the marshals were excellent. Very calm and in control (particularly the pool and bike stage 1 area). Some on the course got confused which child had done one lap or two and it created misdirection. It was a great beginners event where parents could access see most of the course - however, children were missed due to the time to get through the course pedestrian crossing, even more so when having to support more than one child (perhaps more than one access and exit would have helped). The walk to registration was a little long and again having to cross the course to get to this caused lots of delay. Having the registration in the swim car park or before you enter the course may have worked better, particularly for those who had already walked a lot way from the car park. Overall though it was a well run event with very friendly staff. Thank you!

My daughter had a wonderful day. Unfortunately one of the marshals (called Michael) ruined the event for us all. At end of the day as we were leaving, my 6 year old daughter and her older friend went to get their bikes. He suddenly placed a metal barricade in their path telling them to go another way. The older boy got through but the marshal sent my daughter off behind some buildings on her own. When we couldn't find her we obviously panicked at which point Michael was abusive and said he would 'send us off of the field of play'. A very odd and creepy man. I would not recommend parents sending their children to this event in future if this sort of person is in charge of their safety.

They really did a great job of making the kids feel amazing. One of my kids was very reluctant, apprehensive, but afterwards, after finishing and hearing her name as she ran through the finish, she was asking what she can do next. Testiment to the event. No expectation for the kids, just brilliantly organised fun and they want more.

The race itself was great however why wasn t registration near the pool? It takes a while to goand register then back to the pool. In addition for parents with hounger kids doing just 1k in cycling it is super hard to get on time to transition area 2 before kids arrive, no shortcut available, no sign to help parents. Then i was unable to be at the finish as i was stopped for a while between transition 2 and the finish area. No-one can properly support their child properly unless several people are accompanying the child, especially when they are young(my child is 7 and it was our first triathlon) Logistically it was very painfull onsite.

Registration tent placed in the most illogical place in the world. You have to walk across the course to the finish to register then go back to the start. Why not have the registration tent in the car park or next to the pool?
