Heddington 5k is 3 series event, May, July and August and is organised by Calne Running Club. It is a cheap entry chip timed 5k event that has one of the fastest down hill first mile I ever ran. If you're after a official licensed 5k pb, then this is one to try it on. Regist...
Heddington 5k is 3 series event, May, July and August and is organised by Calne Running Club. It is a cheap entry chip timed 5k event that has one of the fastest down hill first mile I ever ran. If you're after a official licensed 5k pb, then this is one to try it on. Registration and parking is at the local Heddington School where the friendly marshals are on hand to navigate you. The route itself is a simple 5k loop of the local village, all right hand bends so it's hard to get lost. Lots of signage and marshals covering through out, supporting you. The finish is next to the local pub where you are given water/chocolate/crisps. Very fast first mile, but save some for the last one, as I wish I did. :)

I think I've done this race 6 times now. It's flat, fast and very popular; often selling out within 4 hours or so. For your money, you get chip timing, enthusiastic marshals, great race HQ, a good briefing that everyone can hear and a fantastic pub at the finish line. There's no ...

I think I've done this race 6 times now. It's flat, fast and very popular; often selling out within 4 hours or so. For your money, you get chip timing, enthusiastic marshals, great race HQ, a good briefing that everyone can hear and a fantastic pub at the finish line. There's no medal or t-shirt but you do get a huge choice of chocolate bars at the end!
