Great event as always - flat and fast! Marshals were lovely and the weather turned up too… sunny, cold and no wind 🙌🏼 There is a bit of a bottleneck at the start, but I positioned myself near the front and was fine (26th finisher). A new personal best banked… and I’m sure I’ll be...

The field was just too big for the course. The starting tunnel should have had time suggested finish times, to ease slower runners to get to the right area. I was extremely disappointed as when I eventually got over the starting line people were jogging and upset if you went p...

The field was just too big for the course. The starting tunnel should have had time suggested finish times, to ease slower runners to get to the right area. I was extremely disappointed as when I eventually got over the starting line people were jogging and upset if you went past them. The pacers were hardly identifiable with navy bibs. Run along North Orbital stuck behind slower runs as not safe to pass by going in the road. All due to congestion. I was so fed up with that start and how it affected my race. You should have stuck to the original plan of 10am and 11am starts.

We travelled from Kent to do this race and was quite excited, as all the blurb said the course was fast and flat. Well, it was flat, but the start pens were not great and the course was very narrow and congested. Runners should be penned according to their predicted finish time p...

We travelled from Kent to do this race and was quite excited, as all the blurb said the course was fast and flat. Well, it was flat, but the start pens were not great and the course was very narrow and congested. Runners should be penned according to their predicted finish time possibly...we were stuck at the back and unable to get anywhere near the pace area we wanted. Its not pleasant to try and run our best times and not be able to, also it isn't pleasant for other runners to have people try and blast past them, just not an overall nice experience unfortunately. The event was well run, the goodies at the end were great, but we were just left a bit underwhelmed and frustrated.

Brilliant from start to finish. Very generous goody bag options at end and I liked it that we chose only the items we wanted. I run a lot of races in my home county of Norfolk but I can see how you pay attention to detail to make a positive atmosphere in the race village. I’m glad you cap the number of participants because although I didn’t find it too congested the paths we ran on were narrow in places so higher numbers may have been an issue. I’d love to see more pacers. I missed my target time by one second so I was pretty heartbroken as we travelled a long way with an overnight stop to get my club diamond standard. I’ll come back next year and I’ve already looked up your next 5 miler at Bedford in January which I’ll probably sign up to . Thanks for getting some more 5 milers on the calendar as they are rare! Thank you ATW you mixed professionalism with personality and I was very impressed with the event.
