First ever triathlon in 2016, and was hooked from then on!! I love this event. The organisation is excellent, and course is challenging yet stunning. Swim is well organised in the local pool and transition is on the playing field just outside. Bike is up to Harlech castle and back - quick out and back. Run is interesting combination of sand dunes, track, beach and road, finishing with the "storm the castle" to really test your legs - a couple of hundred steps right up to the castle to be greeted by the knights, kings and queens, a medal and bacon buttie. In 2018 it will be taken over by Always Aim High. I hope it retains its friendly, welcoming, local feel.
