Beautiful course. Nice t-shirt and medal. The last 3 miles uphill were gruelling, but I knew it was coming. At over 16 miles and 1000 feet of climbing definitely a tougher than usual 'half marathon'.
My only complaint is that it needed better signposting and more marshals round the course. I was often unsure of the way and had to made educated guesses when I couldn't see another runner in the distance. I wasn't the only one. At one point, two of us stopped at a junction looking around until we spotted a marshal waving in the distance. At another path split two of us ran the wrong way, before we realised and doubled back. I was carrying a soggy map, but didn't know whereabouts I was on it.
