The race starts in the picturesque town of St Peter Port before leading on to 16 miles of beautifully rugged cliffs. There will be a water stop checkpoint at 8 miles with the first full checkpoint at Portlet, the end of the cliff section. Here you can access your drop bag, water and get food and drinks from the beach kiosk (included in entry).
From here it is fairly flat going along the west coast, where you will enjoy the view of the sweeping bays and beaches. Take some money as you may want to treat yourself to an ice cream or a cold drink from one of the kiosks.
At around mile 26 there will be another checkpoint to replenish you before continuing around the north coast of the island and finally the east coast back to St Peter Port and the finish.
Trail shoes are recommended for the cliffs - you can always put a change of shoes at the Portlet checkpoint for the flatter section as there are some unavoidable road sections.
This is an ideal race for those wanting to step up to ultra distance. With the checkpoints further apart than you may be used to when running marathons, this will accustom you to the more self-sufficient way that most ultra races are run.
The safety and enjoyment or our runners are important to us. We will do our best to give you first class race support and help you on your way to the finish.
T-shirt and medal for all finishers.
Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Female, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male
Ascent/Descent: Around 1000 metres.

The race organisation was brilliant , registration and briefing were quick. Start was 16 miles of cliffs and steps. The views were worth the tough steps. Around every corner the views just became more amazing. There were 2 check points mid and at the end of the cliffs section....Read full review
An absolutely stunning event- brilliantly organised whilst still remaining low key. Could not speak more highly of the entire weekend!
