Great Bentley is a fantastic half marathon if you want a PB. A road run alongside the beautiful Essex countryside and almost totally flat. Fast bag drop and plenty of toilets. Every year within the village hall they provide lots of cakes, bacon sandwiches and tea which is just wa...

Great Bentley Half Marathon:

Scheduled in February it is well placed in the diary for those preparing for spring marathons.

Registering for the race is easy and offers good VFM.

Race day - parking is well organised, free and plentiful within a short walk to both start and finish lines.

The course is v flat and v fast.

Nice atmosphere at the race. Highly recommended race.

I have signed up to run it again in 2019.

I ran the GBHM for the first time in 2018, everything went perfectly well. The course was interesting and flat, perfect for a PB. The marshalling was superb, and their support outstanding. One of the best organised events I have taken part in, I'll certainly being applying agai...

Great Bentley is a fantastic Half Marathon to gain a PB, no hills and mostly flat. Running along the Essex countryside. Well organised and lots of tea, bacon sandwiches and cakes on offer afterwards :-)
