This was a great opportunity to hit the final step before a spring marathon. Lots of free parking. Number was collected on the day. The race is a loop through a business park and out into the countryside done 3 times. There were a few hills to tackle. The weat...

This was a great opportunity to hit the final step before a spring marathon.

Lots of free parking.

Number was collected on the day.

The race is a loop through a business park and out into the countryside done 3 times. There were a few hills to tackle.

The weather was terrible and with the rural setting it meant support was minimal but I think in some ways that helps build the mental side for a future marathon.

Marshals were amazing. Stood in the wind and rain but so supportive.

The medal was nice but a little disappointing for such a big challenge but I loved the T-shirt.

Would only run this again if I was training for a spring marathon.

The marshals on the course of this 3 loop were fantastic. The course had changed slightly, the only gripe being a short out and back section, but understandable considering the unexpected road closure on the course in the weeks beforehand.

The weather itself was changeable, a little chilly to start with, warming up. This is why I've marked the aid stations as lower, plastic cups are not conducive to staying hydrated as most of it goes over your face / head rather than in your mouth, and if it does you're liable to end up choking.

Signed up for this race as a lead up to London and was dreading it when I realised it was laps! But it's a pretty country course so it didn't get repetitive and then laps meant there was decent support and plenty of water and jelly babies. Marshals were excellent and plenty of them. attractive medal and well fitting technical tee mean this race is very good value. My only gripe was they'd run out of bananas by the time I finished and I was mid pack!
