Really friendly event: didn't see a grumpy soul thought the event. Great for first timers due to the support and friendliness. Clear race briefing with safety covered well. Swim lanes were well structured and seeded and the transition at poolside so nice and easy. The run... ...
Really friendly event: didn't see a grumpy soul thought the event. Great for first timers due to the support and friendliness. Clear race briefing with safety covered well. Swim lanes were well structured and seeded and the transition at poolside so nice and easy. The run... Well there is a coastal headwind so expect some weather! Marshalls are awesome regardless of conditions and you'll be well looked after on course. No medals at this event, but a cap to wear instead, which is cool. Small trophies for the podium lot, and age groupers are included in these, again reinforcing the inclusivity of the event.

The Marshalls were amazing, despite being battered by the elements they were funny, friendly, engaged and even checked your name to make the encouragement specific to the runners. A brilliantly organised friendly event.

Brilliant Aquathlon to enter as first race of the season. Just choose between Frosty 800m swim and 10k run or Frostbite 400m swim and 5km run. Simple registration on morning of event to collect number. Swim is done in waves and very organised. Transtion on poolside and run takes ...
Brilliant Aquathlon to enter as first race of the season. Just choose between Frosty 800m swim and 10k run or Frostbite 400m swim and 5km run. Simple registration on morning of event to collect number. Swim is done in waves and very organised. Transtion on poolside and run takes you outside around a lake and onto the sea front promande, and coastal path. Flat! Just unexpected weather! This year was gales and icy rain! Thats why its the Frosty! Fun event our Triathlon Club have been going for years and will keep returning. I loved it. Next year it will be in the new Swimming Pool. Easy parking and Leisure Centre Facilities available. I couldnt see any water stations on the run? Might be due to weather. Take a water bottle with you just in case you need one for these distances. Prizes and Memento for Finishers.
