I have run many races with EX2 over the past (eek!) many years, and I have never walked away with anything but positive things to say about the races -- from start to finish. Andy and his team are the BEST in the business. Truly. What you do is EXtraordinary -- you bring together people from all walks of life to push themselves and try something outside their proverbial comfort zones. There truly isn't a way to "phone" anything in during an EX2 race. You have to put it all out there, and the reward is the best breakfast burrito around! And let's talk about the community for a second because it's also extraordinary. I've run many road races over the years, too, and no one stays at the end for the podium announcements EVER, let alone a full group of racers there to cheer on their fellow runners. So congrats to the EX2 team on another terrific event. I will keep coming back!

EX2 runs the best events in the area. Fountainhead is an outstanding experience! Ran the 10K+++ which was 7.1 miles of scenic, hilly bliss. Andy is the ultimate race director. All staff members are friendly. There's one woman who works the EX2 aid stations who is the most encouraging cheerleader in the history of racing...and possibly in the history of cheerleading. Good post-race foood, great vibes with all the runners and staff. Looking forward to next year at Fountainhead!

EX2 sets the bar very high for any other race companies, both trail and road. I usually mention the fantastic food early on when I am telling people about EX2, but in truth the food is really no match for the amazing staff, volunteers, preparations, course marking, and overall community feel to these races. He'll never take full credit for it, but Andy Bacon is the genius and energy behind the magic that these races create. There's no place I'd rather be on a Saturday or Sunday morning!

This is a very physically challenging course. The random hikers create additional obstacles, but you score more points if you take them out along the way. Also, if you get really hot there are several times where you can take a quick dip in the water.
