I was desperate to get back to this brilliant again this year and it was incredible, just like it was when I did it before in 2024. So well organised, a clear course where it’s impossible to go wrong. The staff and officials are really nice, welcoming and encouraging too. The standard is so high and if you want a high chance of a 1 mile road or 5k road PB, this is one of THE events you want to be doing. A proper fast course that’s ‘pancake’ flat. This is one of, if not the most brutal short distance road races I know of. Anyone & everyone of any age - young and old - should enter (obviously subject to age limits and being young/old enough!) because there’s a race for EVERYONE, regardless of ability and whether you not you have a(ny) specific target(s). The atmosphere was buzzing too. It’s an event you’ll want to keep going back to, it’s that good. So much so, going forward I’ll be trying to make this event a priority if I can. Improvements going forward: maybe have some signage directing athletes how to get to the start
