I've ridden the Yorkshire Festive 50 for the last 5 years. It's always a great meet up. Pre-ride Tea & Biscuits, a mid-way warm butty and brew with a Chilly and beer at the Finish. The weather isn't always great, it is December after all, but that never spoils the atmosphere. Sportive HQ always put on high quality Sportives at a great price while still managing to support local charities. I recommend their Sportives to anyone.

Arrived at the very last minute due to a hold up at my end, saw start of Sportiv but totally missed out on the judging of the fancy dress competition and had no idea when it was going to happen, this could have been communicated better. Did also expect a medal at the end but that's me being naive as it was my first Sportiv. Would have preferred that to the chilli which was far too spicy to eat. On the other hand the bacon butties were excellent. Felt a bit of an anticlimax at the end.
