It was a REALLY REALLY great festive day. Loved the atmosphere and everyone was so friendly. Was absolutely buzzing at the end! Areas of opportunity that I marked down on; Safety brief too quiet, should do it in batches or on repeat in the Santa collection area. Not eco friendly with plastic bottles & no recycling bins. No toilets - needed 20p for public BUT winter wonderland has loads of portaloos should advertise you can use them and make sure open. Tricky to find a loo Sunday morning! Big bottleneck at the Christmas trees as quite narrow very early on in the route. Medal wished it said the year on it. Would also be great for a selfie mirror for photos and a quick costume check as no toilets around. BUT that being said, communication leading up was great use of maps and what3words and really enjoyed myself. The team at the beginning and end were fab support with bottles of water, sweets and medal giving. Will deffo sign up again as this was my first! ✨🎅🏻

In 2024, I volunteered at this event and it was such a great event that I decided me and my son would join in and run the course in 2025. The Exeter community events are always so well organised and brings so many people together to enjoy the events as well as raising lots of money for some wonderful charities. This year we ran as a family raising money for Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) who helped my grandad when he was going through his treatment.
