It was a Camino event, so you know you’re in for amazing vibes with only wonderful runners taking part. Met some great people during the race and pretty much chatted to people through the entire course. Such a great finish area as well with the Golden Fleece full of happy Caminos...

A perfect event for a first time ultra runner, though also clearly a favourite of ultra veterans. Friendly and unashamedly inclusive, with a real community vibe, and a relatively fast course. I wasn't sure I'd love it being an out and back, but actually getting to clap, cheer and encourage the runners coming the other way fitted perfectly the character of the event. It was ideal too that the route began and ended outside a pub where conversations with new friends could carry on. Even with Storm Amy stealing a few of the waymarks, the course was fairly easy to follow, and the aid stations had all kinds of goodies from salty to sweet to pickley sour.

Just a fantastic event, 4th time I have ran it and it gets better every year. Organising team are super friendly. Pre race is great, super smooth this year and can get a coffee inside the Golden Fleece pub - more on that later! Route is beautiful, well marked (need to pay attention though) and the aid stations are well stocked and super friendly. The atmosphere before, during and after the race was great with other runners bringing a lovely vibe! Post race the Golden Fleece (Greene King) pub provides refreshment for the runners and can get half decent pub fayre to refuel. No doubt I’ll be back next year!

This was my first time running the Epping 50k and I loved every minute, an awesome route and being out and back there was a crossover of runners from the 25 and 50k where there was plenty of encouragement and communication most of the way, ample fun aid stations and the whole event is very relaxed but with solid organisation the way these events should be ! As far as Camino go nothing is ever a problem I will be back 100%

As always the Camino team are a fantastic bunch, super friendly and helpful. The support staff and volunteers are such a credit, helping organise and look after all of the competitors. Hopefully I will be back again next year, thank you as always!
