Great event, as always from Sportiva. Pre-race information was clear. Great course, lots of good marshals. Wonderful atmosphere helped by the weather. Having it town centre also meant lots of support from the public. There didn’t seem to be any British Triathlon technical officer in attendance, which was a surprise. Would recommend to have one. The left turn on the bike course could be improved with bigger signage and a marshal (I understand some of the TS2 kids missed the turn, cycling straight on, thereby cutting the course). That said, the map provided pre-race was completely clear! Thanks to Ben and team!

My daughter did the TS2 race - her first open water race. The location was just incredible and she absolutely loved the very rare opportunity to do a sea swim. The run course along the pier was a massive highlight compared with the usual leisure centre field, although perhaps a few extra marshalls there would have been good to keep the public away from the runners . Loved the closed road bike route too and the fact everything was just one big lap. Appeciate this must have been a massive undertaking and we are very grateful for a fantastic experience. Just a few bits of the route were a bit confusing (eg the end of the run where TS2 and 3 go different ways) and would have been good to have something distinguishing the two groups. As a family it would also be great if there was something for the younger kids who want to race too/usually do, given that they were too young to do the 5K, e.g. a 2K run

What a wonderful setting for a Triathlon! This was the first time I have done a Standard Tri. A closed road bike route was fantastic, the sea was sheltered & the run lovely along the seafront. (Not that I will ever warm to running!!!) The Marshalls were great. Very encouraging...

Great event, and in the main well organised, and very friendly. The finish area needs better management - you come across the line and there are people just milling around. There is no one there to direct you - no one to give you a medal. This is poor. You have to find the medal station yourself - not always easy when you have just crossed the line. The refreshments at the finish were also sub standard - there is usually more and a better choice. I have no idea whether I should have received a shirt, but disappointed not to have been given one.
