Since two years the 10k takes place at night (it used to be during the day). Only they've hardly changed the route and some parts are quite dark, so would be better if you wore some sort of light with you. The course goes through the city, through a park and back into the city. T...
Since two years the 10k takes place at night (it used to be during the day). Only they've hardly changed the route and some parts are quite dark, so would be better if you wore some sort of light with you. The course goes through the city, through a park and back into the city. The park isn't very well lit. Only 3000 runners for the 10k, but all in the same starting wave so it's a bit crowded on the course, but it's quite a fast course nevertheless.

This year this marathon event added an extra race distance, the 10km. Like the 5k, there are no starting waves for this distance (I still don’t see why not), but unlike the very popular 5k, there were less participants for this distance (about 2.200). I did enjoy ...

This year this marathon event added an extra race distance, the 10km. Like the 5k, there are no starting waves for this distance (I still don’t see why not), but unlike the very popular 5k, there were less participants for this distance (about 2.200). I did enjoy the route, the race started off at a wide street which made it easy for the runners to pass one another and spread out quite quickly. After this the route went through a park and took the more scenic industrial-heritage route back into town. And I also liked the bling.
