The choice of venue was excellent, registration was effective and course was well marked. My son enjoyed it which is the main thing

When we arrived the QR code registration wasn't available. This meant a long wait to register. There was no information regarding the race start for parents, transition was outside so that meant the competitors had to exit the pool, walk ir run outside bare foot and then put trainers on. Why not have the transition inside the pool? It was disappointing that at the finish there was only a cardboard box with medals and no person to congratulate the finishers. Not the best!

Good event but there were a couple of logistical hiccups that could be fine-tuned for future races.

Poor signage. The stewards couldn’t answer questions. The organisers were rude short tempered and shouted at the parents if we remotely stepped over any barrier lines, that were not well marked out. 3 children went the wrong way off course due to poor signage and marshalling. This is a serious safe guarding issue. Will not be doing any more of these events organised by yourselves and will not recommend you to others.

Excellent event. Outstanding facilities. Maybe 250m swim rather than 150m for the TriStar 2. Maybe 2 longer laps of the field rather than 4 short laps. Overall a fantastic day for our 10 year old. She really enjoyed it.

Boy in same lane missed briefing and kept swimming on wrong side hampering swim and trying to move over. Need to provide swim info even for the juniors who are late. Otherwise was a good event.

The checking in was a bit vague for a first timer. And the guy at the transition station I felt was rude as we’d not done this event before I felt like I needed to help my son with what he needed for transition and was told to leave numerous times. We had a good first Aquathon event and will possibly do more in the future.

Unfortunately for a 1st event for my 10 yo daughter this was not a particularly well organised event. Not enough staff to guide 1st timers, poor signage and rather rude staff (including the race director). Facilities were brilliant and the photographer was wonderful. ‘What’s included’…well we only got the medal-no water /sweets /friendly and welcoming atmosphere! Such a shame as could have been perfect if only there were more staff/more on site information.
