It was such a fantastic experience! It was my first time running in Durham, and I genuinely enjoyed every moment of it. I won’t lie, the course was definitely challenging because of the hills. There were a few moments when I had to dig deep and keep pushing, but crossing the finish line made it all worthwhile. If you’re looking for a race that will test you while rewarding you with incredible scenery, this is the one. One of my favorite parts was running past Durham’s beautiful historic buildings and landmarks. The views along the route were stunning, and the atmosphere was amazing. The support from the spectators was incredible too—their cheers gave me that extra boost whenever I needed it. I had an amazing experience, and I would absolutely recommend the Durham Running Festival to anyone who enjoys a challenge. The hills aren’t easy, but they’re part of what makes this race so memorable. I’d definitely love to come back and run it again next year!

What a fantastic course, through the historic city and around some of the riverbanks. And what an amazing finish.

Well organised and enjoyable event as always with EoN. A mens stand up loo would have helped reduce queues before the race.

Despite I am hopeless, everyone was very friendly and helpful. No one made fun of me because I did not run well. Your publicity should emphasise that old people like me can do it. It is not just a happy occasion, but a significant public health initiative. Well done.

Enjoyable event, I particularly enjoyed the shakeout run with Paula and Chris and the Gala Theatre evening! I also enjoyed the fact that the event accommodated and supported slow and older runners!

Brilliant event. Tough course but would definitely do again. Nice to see parts of Durham that I don't usually get to.

The event was very well organised, a good course -even the hills! Just one bottle neck on Silver street caused frustration as couldnt get past people walking up this hill, causing me to loose valuable time and interupt the flow. Marshalls were excellent, giving lots of encouragement and safety advice. Water station was perfectly placed with lots of bins for empties. Post finish line and exit route very well controlled and organised for goody bags, water and medals. Overalll a great event.
