Proper local 10k. Brilliantly organised. Having the indoor areas at the racecourse was a Godsend on a cold and windy morning. Fast course. Pacers spot on with their timing. Great race to finish the season and will definitely try to fit this into the calendar next year.

Due to covid 19 i had to wait 2 years to do this event and it didn't disappoint. Curlys Athletes the organizers really know their stuff and how to engage with the community. Contact and pre race information was excellent , the marshalls were friendly and helpful and i felt perfectly safe doing the event. A fast course with pb potential with just a couple of hills to negotiate. As it's from the racecourse you can elect to have a horse's name of your own imagination on your race number. Great T shirts and medals and you got energy drinks, a pork pie and a nicehot chocolate at the finish. What's not to like. 5 stars from me, will hopefully do the event again next year.

Loved it last year and couldn't wait to run it again. A varied flat route with the first 5km around the town centre then out to armthorpe roundabout and back the racecourse. Amazing social media support from curlys athletes in advance . On the day car parking and registration were smooth (although we did arrive very early!) And great to keep warm inside before the race started. What let the race down this year was the water station; i was offered a large bottle without any lid. This was impossible to run with so I had to stop, take a few mouthfuls and put it in the bin. Such a waste. I know water stations are hard to get right for everyone but the smaller sports cap bottles are easy to hold and run with. I will be back but Will bring my own water next year.

My first time at this event. Given the lack of events at this time of year, it was ideal one to enter. Cost was £22 i think which was on the steeper side for a 10K, and was £32 if you wanted a finishers tshirt. It was a well organised event however. Race HQ was at the racecourse so plenty of parking and indoor space to keep warm in. The race itself went from the racecourse, first half took you up to and round the city center, and last half was an out and back on the road running alongside the racecourse. Predominantly flat course with the odd slight incline but nothing challenging. Very fast. Almost everyone i did the event with got a PB and some big ones too. I took 1 min 40 off my PB set just 5 weeks before. For those that use them, there seemed to be pacers at every 5 minute interval. At the finish you get your medal, and a pork pie along with a hot chocolate. Overall, great event, think we'll look to be back next year.

Recommend this one! Good flat course perfect for aiming for a pb. Organisation was very good, race number pick up very quick and easy. Route was around Doncaster city center so plenty to look at, best bit has to be the pork pie and hot chocolate at the end thought, perfect!!

I did this event yesterday for the first time and was very impressed. It was very well organised, the race HQ at the race course is brilliant as it provides tonnes of free and accessible parking, can soak up the large numbers of people up with ease and has loads of toilets available (the best race toilet facilities I've ever seen lol) The race itself is crammed in terms of numbers of runners (2450 competed this year) but there are clear signs made up for race pace pens to put people in the right section. Pacers where available from 40 minutes to an hour which is good as many events don't have 40 minute pacer which is good to see. The route itself is good, spacious, going into the town centre which is cool, plenty of support, especially near the start finish area where you loop back. It's not pancake flat, there are a couple of small elevations to keep you honest but it is lightening fast! Afterwards you get a medal, pork pie and a hot chocolate which is cool. Overall this, particularly for the time of the year is an awesome event, kind of makes you feel your finishing the season off well! Everybody I know yesterday got a 10k PB which says alot about this excellent course and event. My only criticism would be the additional charging for a race t-shirt when entry fees where on the high side for the distance. The t-shirt wasn't the best either to rub it in.

My first Doncaster 10k, the route was very good all in all, the steward / Marshall announcements prior to the start were not very clear making them difficult to be understood. At the finish it was Chaos finishers milling around and making an exit difficult and frustrating so much so we skipped the long Pie queue and the Hot drink queue and went straight home. some runners need to be a lit more honest with themselves about personal ability slow runners slowing people down knowing full well they were stood in the wrong place at the start line, some were even walking after the first mile yet stood in the sub 50min area?. I will do it again next year but would say a bit more effort needed in the finish area.

This is the first time I’ve done this race. It’s organised by Curly's, it’s well worth it. The course starts outside the racecourse and heads out to the town centre where it loops round then heads back past the racecourse for about 2km then it turns round and heads back downhill back to a grandstand finish. It’s a fast course, the support is good all the way along the route. The marshalls are really helpful. I would certainly recommend this event, and will be back next year.

Great organisation, lots of top class facilities for guests, fantastic public transport locally and brilliant road marshalling. Local support at bit meh, but the ones who turned out were super enthusiastic

This was the 2nd running of this event, I ran last year, enjoyed it enough to come back. Organised by Curly’s Athletics, they are keen & proud of there events. This year numbers were increased by 50% & race time changed from 9am to 10am. Registration & price was reasonable. Traveling from Hull I found it easy to get there, park up & our exit was also acceptable. The course was the same as last year, starting Outside the race course you head into the town centre & for approximately 2km there are lots of twists & turns before you head on back to the racecourse where you follow a dual carriageway for 2km before a tight turn back down to the finish which is next to the grandstand in the race course. This is a fast 10k, last year I PB’d & after a slower year I knocked over a further minute of last year. There appears more downhill then up. In a nutshell I think this is a great race for feeling good at the end of the year
