A well organised event with plenty of pre race information sent out on email. The event itself was nice and relaxed and it was easy to park and get registered when I arrived. The course itself is wonderful. We had great weather luckily but the ascent of CatBells in the first few miles really gets the legs and lungs working and you are rewarded with great views. It’s definitely not a course to go for a PB on as it’s tough terrain with some sharp climbs but it’s a brilliant achievement when you have finished. At the finish you got a nice medal and there was free food and drinks on offer.

The Derwentwater Dawdle route is stunning. This year we were lucky enough to have a beautifully clear day, and the views across Derwentwater are breathtaking. This isn't an easy course - the elevation is more than 200ft a mile and there are three tough climbs - Cat Bells, Dock Tarn and Walla Crag - but it is immensely rewarding, and the cut-offs allow you time for plenty of hiking on the technical terrain and for stopping to appreciate the scenery. I found the climbs exhilarating. I'm not a natural on the technical descents, but was happy to walk them and run on the more runnable terrain.

The event is very well organised and exceptionally good value for money. It has a lovely friendly feel and great food and support. I would highly recommend it.

An excellent yet challenging race in beautiful scenery. Great organisation from Ascend Events with friendly and very helpful  staff manning all checkpoints and feed stations. I’ll be back..

As always the friendliness of the event, the organisation, refreshments and value for money were second to none. Already signed up for next year!

One of the best walks I have done to date, (comparison to around 12 others) fantastic views, good paths, great support and organisation.Feeding stations we good and everyone we met and spoke to on the day were really firendly, both walkers and runners. Well done to all, I have done the Silverdale (twice) which is run by the same people and have signed up for the Lakeland 4 Passes on the 29th September.
