This was the 1st time I had taken part in this event. I had signed up to the event online & collected my number on the morning.
We were gathered on the start line where there was a short race briefing, the event was chip timed & you were across the start line quickly.
The course was a figure of eight, 4 miles out & back past walmer castle, with the water station being at the 2 mile turn around point. You go past the finish line at the 4 mile with a 1 mile out & back to the pier.
At the finish line, you were given medal & there water available with no other goodies. I also heard several complaints about lack of any where to buy a tea or coffee, within the race vicinity.
I have marked the race down for several reasons, lack of toilets there was 2 females toilets so a big queue (not sure what the male toilets were like), there was no secure bag storage but you could leave in them in a room in race HQ. This was event was held on open paths & between 3-5 mile point, despite being wide there was a lot of people about that you had to weave between to get around them.
