Well run event , good logitics , Good safety brief.All staff and volunteers were helpful. Safety and route marking very clear. Thanks for a good day yesterday :)

The event was well organised and well very marshalled. The safety precautions in the water were some of the best I have encountered on all of my many sea swims. There were almost as many lifeguards as swimmers. My only disapointment was the prize allocation. I have entered a great many open water swims across the world and there is always recognition of the older swimmer, v50,v60,v70. I have found that this encourages older swimmers who have very little, if no chance of competing against people 30-50 years younger than them. If the prize allocation was capped at the first 3 in the 1500 & 3000 races and only the 1st place in each (vet) category was awarded a medal, then the increased cost would be for 14 medals. I do not agree with prize giver, who I spoke to after the event " that this would cost too much & take too long". The extra recognition of the vets would infact encourage a larger crowd to attend the prize giving and applaud the efforts of the winners.

lovely day out in beautiful setting, with supportive team and lots of safety crew around. I felt really safe without being crowded by the lifeguards. Really impressive event, would thoroughly recommend.

A well organised event in a lovely location. Safety talk was ace and particularly liked that he emphasised it was about finishing rather than just being fastest.

The only thing that I didn't like was we were given an area code to drive to ...in all the helpful hints on line , which the sat nav took me too , but sadly further up road about 400m from where I should have turned . Maybe i missed a sign ..then if i did ..possibly then maybe not big enough . so tsadly that got me agitated feeling lost. The block of toilets ok ...could have been fresher and that washing hand facilities for on mass ...that 2 out of 3 machines were out of order. I hate to write anything negative but it's best you know. You did ask .! Apart from that your team and veryone was on the ball with happy faces and extremely helpful Well done!! Really in the grand scheme of things it was really well run and hence a great atmosphere ,as everyone felt safe and lifted by the event ,..I know i was T H A N K Y O U !! to you all and the water safety team for your attention and hard work and support .. Very grateful .
