Smooth, efficient and friendly from Tavistock Road to Old Dairy to Jail Break! 'The hills need ironing'. The journey from start to our eventual stop point in Totnes was hard on feet. But so worthwhile for the sights (new born Dartmoor foals), the sound of silence (apart from the odd skylark) and the feeling of quiet isolation whilst on the moors. The only improvement I can suggest is to do it again next year. - Well done you wardens!

This was such a great event. We had the best time running away from Dartmoor. I knew Dartmoor would be hilly but didn’t realise how hilly Devon was. Brutal hills and it went on forever. The tracking system was really good for safety but also great for friends and family to dot...

What really nice about this event is your free goes to the Dartmoor Rescue team, so just turning up you are supporting a great charity. Definitely will be back next year

After following this event this year I committed and entered the 2026 event. Absolutely loved the atmosphere of the event village, it was great seeing people going that extra mile and dressing up as convicts which just added to the atmosphere. We all walked down to the prison yar...

After following this event this year I committed and entered the 2026 event. Absolutely loved the atmosphere of the event village, it was great seeing people going that extra mile and dressing up as convicts which just added to the atmosphere. We all walked down to the prison yard for the mass start and with the sirens blaring we all escaped through the gates in all directions. The day was hotter than expected so each village shop was a welcome and the cooler temperatures of the evening were better. The medal was fantastic. My aim was to get back home to Taunton but had to cut it short just outside Wellington due to some very bad blisters. Still it was the furthest I've ever done, starva distance record 53 miles, as the crow flies distance 41.3 miles. So very happy with that. Would I do it again.. Definitely. Thank Dartmoor Prison Break.

I love this event. 5th time I have entered. 1st time as a 6hr one, usually do 24hrs. Volunteers were welcoming and understanding. Appreciated the fact I did not have to have all the kit, given weather conditions and only doing 6hrs. Tracking is great and I would recommend this...

I love this event. 5th time I have entered. 1st time as a 6hr one, usually do 24hrs. Volunteers were welcoming and understanding. Appreciated the fact I did not have to have all the kit, given weather conditions and only doing 6hrs. Tracking is great and I would recommend this event to any walkers or runners. Only critism is if the medal could have the year on it. Just so I can compare to past events or the ribbon but this is very minor

Great to get a call at the end of the 6hr to check we're ok etc. Mandatory kit list - a pretty standard list, that I'm used to but wow some people took the biscuit a bit and literally started with just 2 x 500ml water bottles in their race vest and nothing else on them!
