The most fun I've had on a run. It was a great course, with some great interesting sections. Well laid out and marked. Everyone running in lights and glow up outfits was a great spectacle. Made better for me as it was and had been raining so some puddles and mud to splash around in if desired. Well organised. Plenty of supplies for after. With great wood fired pizza and quality coffee. I'll be adding this to my running calendar for definite. Thanks guys for a great time.

Great event. All went smoothly. Well stocked aid stations and friendly Marshall’s. Excited for new forest run in December! One small criticism, which I suppose is opinionated, but it would be to ban earphones/bone conducting earphones. Especially as it’s a dark night race, runners aren’t aware of their surroundings and despite shouting they still didn’t hear me trying to get past or even support them when running and not get a response from them :/

Overall Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Dark Valley 30km run was an outstanding event from start to finish. - Event Village: The atmosphere was buzzing, with a well-organized village that made registration and pre-race prep smooth and enjoyable. - Route: A fantastic course — scenic, challenging, and very well signposted throughout. The clear markings meant no confusion, even in darker stretches. - Marshals: Huge credit to the marshals. Their presence with lights along the route added both safety and encouragement, creating a reassuring environment for runners. - Medal: The finisher’s medal was truly impressive — a standout keepsake that reflects the effort of the race. - Refreshments: Post-event refreshments were plentiful and high quality, the perfect way to refuel and celebrate after 30km. Final Thoughts: This was a brilliantly organized race that balanced challenge with enjoyment. From the supportive marshals to the thoughtful event village setup, everything came together to make the Dark Valley 30km a memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-run, rewarding endurance event.

The usual wonderful BigFeat vibe, with some excellent mud and a bit of undulation thrown in!

Good event but there were a couple of logistical hiccups that could be fine-tuned for future races. The finish was very flat - no atmosphere, not much support.

Great event, however, below are my suggestions/views Congestion - usual chaotic start but eventually spread out. Suggest staggered start. 30km - no atmosphere at the end. Vendors packing up. Suggest 30km starts earlier (45mins - 1hr) than the 10/20km so the 30km ers get to experience the atmosphere. Also 1 or 2 bags of crisps left at the end No seating area at the end. My legs were toasted and had no where to sit.

Could do with more course marshals in case of injury. I fell over, but wasn't injured. If I had needed help then it would have been a long walk to find someone.
