Firstly, this was a really fun event! Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in trying something a little bit different. The course was nice and varied, and it was great finishing among the vines. The organisers and volunteers at the aid stations were all very friendly and helpful, and there was a very community-esque feel about the event. Parking was easy and reistration was straightforward. Communications were decent but perhaps could've been slightly clearer and more accurate - couple of discrepancies regarding finish line food & goody bags e.g. but other than that no complaints.

Great event and really enjoyed the course, entered the 10k but, despite being a dog lover, elected to swap for the 5k when I realised that the dogs were going off at the same time as I've come a cropper courtesy of dogs being over zealous in the past. Generally the location and organisation was great but when adding Canix races in, I do wish the organisers would let the dogs go at a different time to the main races, apart from anything else, the noise from those dogs whose owners don't control them, meant that no-one could hear the briefing before the race. notwithstanding this, it was a good way to spend a Saturday evening!

My third time running this race, which is a relaxed and friendly event over some fun and challenging trails. The view near the end as you reach the crest of the final hill and come out of the darkness to see the lights of Dorking twinkling in the valley is worth the run alone. Lovely organisers and volunteers with a low-fuss registration at the start. I like that it's not an event with big crowds or a sponsor-filled goodie bag, it feels much more like a chilled out run with friends.

Such a great trail event, this was my first night run here having run it a couple of times in the day at the Clear Skies. It feels so different at night, a proper adventure and it was so peaceful out there, looking around at other lights bobbing about ahead or behind. The course itself is perfect. It’s challenging in the Surrey hills but there are lots of long downhills to recover from the uphills and lots of running through woods, my favourite. Easy navigation with the gpx supplied beforehand but this was not really necessary as the course was very well marked. 2 aid stations for the 10 miler, to gorge on watermelon, and a tasty pasty at the end to round a great evening off.

Brilliant race! The atmosphere was friendly and positive. The dogs running the Canix races added a lovely feel to the event too. The route was beautiful with a tough first half that then paid off with a really enjoyable last 4K down through the hills.

Thanks Josh. Really glad you enjoyed it. We loved putting this one on for such a great group of runners. Its always a few degrees chillier in Surrey for some reason!

Hi Jo, thanks for your feedback. There shouldn't have been any congestion in the 10 mile race as we deliberately built in a lap of the field at the start to prevent this.

Good event my first 10 miles. But not my first night trail race .

Hi Amy, We ran round the course on the night post race and the next day and didn't see any ties fallen over. Which part of the course are you referring to? We also had our full compliment of marshals, more than we had last time but had a similar number of full course finishers in the 10k and 10 mile (just under 99%)

A nice route but a bit lacking in atmosphere. We didn't see/couldn't find the aid station at all which didn't matter really since we were only doing 10k. Course could have done with more markers after track junctions etc so you're confident you took the right track. Finish area could do with being a bit bigger as they made me stop dead after the line to take my shoe chip off when actually my legs would have appreciated being allowed to walk around a bit first.

Hi Alix, thanks for your review. Many of our runners report that they like the sound of running across a rural field at night with night birds, foxes and a bit of wind for company! That's why we call it the Wild Night Run Series. And we deliberately don't bring the bling!
