What made this event so memorable wasn't just the racing or the camaraderie—it was the incredible community behind it. The volunteers created such a welcoming, inspiring atmosphere, making the whole weekend feel truly special. One moment that really stood out was meeting a lovely lady at the Earth Action tent, who repaired a hole in my trisuit and hand-stitched the strap on my favourite swimsuit so it was race-ready. Small acts of kindness like this made all the difference. I'm so grateful that both items were saved from landfill, and I'll be proudly racing in the same kit next year. This event is a wonderful celebration of sport, sustainability, and community. Knowing that 100% of the proceeds go to charity makes it even more meaningful. It's the kind of event you leave feeling genuinely uplifted and proud to support. I'll definitely be back next year!

What a day, I had no idea how beautiful this course was, even though it says it everywhere you look. I particularly loved the bike route which was savage and technical. I will be back, this whole event was great and super friendly.

Croyde Ocean Triathlon is a MUST DO for any triathlete. The terrain is stunning and the course is savage - it more than lives up to its strapline. The views are amazing and the course is well thought out to give an amazing competitor experience. It is a highly sustainable event and everything has been thought about carefully in this respect. The event has such a friendly feel to it. I will definitely be signing up again for next year.

The croyde ocean triathlon is an amazing event. With stunning views and beautiful coastline BUT it is tough, the swim starts way down the beach with 4- 50 people waves, so the swim wasn’t too busy and you have to swim 1.5k back to the beach entry, then there is a 750m run UP A HILL, I took my wetsuit off for this and carried it. Transition was good, plenty of room. The bike was 40 tough k with a lot of climbing but its out and back, so the way back was nice ( er ) . Now to the run, ooohhhh the run. This is the reason I came back for a second year, its 12k of coast path, a bit of beach and a lot of stunning views, so stunning, so hard and soooooo rewarding. All in all this event is my favourite race to date, but if you’re new to this game, maybe not this one for your first, my may never want to see a pair of trainers again.
