A fantastic event that I'd highly recommend to both beginners and experienced swimmers. This was my first ever open water swimming event, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you to everyone involved—the support from the organisers, volunteers, and fellow swimmers made me feel completely at ease. The medal was stunning too and made finishing even more special. I can't wait to return next year!

This is my 4th LPS event. I’ve done a few triathlons and taken part in the Cotswolds Swim Festival for the past 2 years. It’s such a fab local event, a wonderful lake to swim in and such a chilled atmosphere (the most chilled event I’ve experienced!) which is always a refreshing and welcomed. The staff are very helpful, warm and considerate, the safety team are brilliant and the swim itself, challenge as ever. This time due to the heatwave (the water was 29C the evening before) it was my first skins 10k as the water was 26.3C and they recommended no wetsuits above 25C. You could wear a shorty as long as you agreed to have a medic review your condition after every 1km lap which was a great addition to the event. We were told 2 lots of weeds we’re pulled out recently, but unfortunately there were 2 places (400M and 700M into the swim) where the weeds we’re very thick which if you were not an experienced swimmer, would’ve been a little unnerving, but we survived, it was character building and the medals were brilliant. I would highly recommend this event, just don’t freak out about the weeds and you’ll be just fine.

Great event. Our group covers the full range of distances and we have done this event multiple times. Love it, always. This year specifically, and probably due to the unusual extreme hot weather leading up to the event, there was a LOT of weed that got in the way as you swam round. However, didn't detract from the enjoyment. Also, a bit annoying that the mega trailer style camper van was parked where it was but I know you tried to move it on without success - something to think about for next year though or future events as it restricted viewing when you have multiple participants to watch and cheer for!!

Always well organised with LPS Events, and this was no exception. Good communication leading up tot he event, with the excessive heat encountered during the preceding week. Easy logistics, good briefing, lots of water safety crew, and a well marked course.
