My 3rd or 4th time doing the Coombe 8, it’s a really nice and well organised local race. Highly recommended. I particularly like the easy logistics of parking right by the start and finish. It’s a race with a bit of character!

An absolutely Brilliantly Organised & Supported event from Sphinx AC, in an absolutely beautiful setting, with the backdrop of the historic Coombe Abbey. Everything about this Race is impeccable, from the get go, the Communications, Check-In, Marshalling, Signing, Support, Post Run Hot Chocolate & Goodies. It's a super fun course, with lots of variation in terrain (grass, gravel paths, wood trails) and the novelty of low fence/log jumps and of course the obligatory river crossing! One dip for the 5M (8K) Route & Two for the full 8M Route!! Cannot recommend this enough and it's MUST DO in our Club Race Calendar :o)

This is a very well organised trail race and well worth doing. I really enjoyed it. The weather was perfect and the course wasn’t too muddy, but you’ll get your feet wet anyway! The course is shared with the public but it wasn’t really a problem, except where you go over a single file bridge and then people were generally very accommodating! Great hot chocolate at the finish too! Top marks!
