Another brilliant Grim run. I'm not sure how often I can keep saying that.

The course around rabbit ings is multi terrain, without being muddy. Have enough elevation to make it tough but not impossible.

Ackworth runners had a club run which swelled the field to a combined 150 runners.

Great signage and marshals prevented any mishaps. 3 feed stations on a 5 mile loop.

Cake, beer, chocolate and a medal to finish off. All for a very reasonable price.

Love it.

Another great race. An interesting and fairly varied trail route with some nice views along the way. A few short hills and some narrow pathways all added to the variety.

As always with IGUN registration was quick and efficient and the Marshalls were brilliant, with lots of encouraging words.  Plenty well stocked water /snack stations too - which was great on such a warm day.

Pros: friendly, well organised, nice route, chocolate, cake, beer.

Cons: none that I can think of.

I've really enjoyed all IGUN events

Challenging course, with 2 distances to choose from. Well organised, friendly, and great value for money. Had a great evening running the 10 mile course.

Hot & sunny evening race in Yorkshire and a perfect example of why I love I.G.U.N races. Beautiful & scenic trail course, nice medal, chocolate & beer.

Registration was on the day only. There was 10 or 5 Mile option. 1 lap for 5 miles & 2 for 10 miles. I chose the 10 mile option.

The hot weather made conditions quite testing but regular water stations made things easier for competitors.

Race route was well sign posted & there were plenty of marshals making sure nobody lost their way.

Finishers got a nice medal, chocolate & beer. A welcome added bonus was an ice lolly.

Also there were trophies (Male & female) for top 3 finishers in both races.

IN SUMMARY...

HIGHS: Good honest small race where runners are looked after

LOWS: No obvious flaws

BOTTOM LINE: Highly recommended trail race in a lovely part of Yorkshire
