As a first time swim runner I really enjoyed my race. I was out of my comfort zone to take part solo but needed to complete one before my longer Swimrun team event later in August. It is a brilliant community and everyone I met was friendly despite my daft first timer questions. It was a lovely course (despite the hill) and I have already recommended friends to take part next year. An improvement for me would be to have some change tents available. I struggled to find some shade and place to change after my race. The idea of having a collapsable eco cup is great if you are just running but for a swim event you can't put them anywhere. Hopefully we are all hydrated on the day but having water available at the finish with no vessel to use is pretty pointless. I would definitely leave a bottle of my own water at the finish instead. Great to have some sports massage on site which I did take advantage of.

Thank you so much for your lovely review Rachael - we're so glad you enjoyed the event and chose us for your first SwimRun 🧡 Thank you for your feedback about the cups - we completely understand if you're wearing just a swimsuit it can be a bit tricky! We do encourage people to bring their own vessels which can be left in bag drop if not they're not very portable. Unfortunately although some paper cups are compostable, they cannot be recycled - they need to be taken to a (not local to us) commercial facility which actually makes them not sustainable at all! Thanks also for the suggestion of a changing tent - one for us to think about for next year! I hope we'll see you again soon! ☺️

This is the second year of doing the swim run (half). It was absolutely brilliant! Clevedon is a beautiful spot for it, gorgeous lake, fabulous views of the estuary, challenging run up Poet's Walk (or walk 🤣) The event was master level organisation, the course was clear, the marshalls were awesome and encouraging, the friendliness of Clevedon serves as a delightful backdrop. Thanks to everone who made it possible.
