Postponed to June 2021. Had forgotten I had entered until the number came through the door.

Really well organised event including covid issues and although I was very out of shape and it was insanely hot, I really enjoyed the run.

Course is a little undulating, especially the second half.

will definitely run again 

This is a really well organised, well supervised, well supported and friendly race. As it's at the showground there is plenty of parking, and race marshals are on hand to direct runners the short walk to the registration area. The course is largely flat, and meanders through country lanes between villages and fields. Even in the pouring rain there was plenty of supporters, and everyone is really supportive and encouraging. I really loved doing this race and look forward to doing it again. And again. And again 👍

i was foolish enough to sign up to this thinking it would be around the lovely city of Norwich, and assuming It would be nice and flat. It is neither!

the course starts and ends at the Norfolk Showground and you run about a mile around it at both the beginning and the end. It’s a really surprisingly hilly course - very undulating and that made it quite tough. Support from locals is there, but it seemed fairly low key - e.g. no giving out jelly babies...unless they just didn’t offer me!

water is in cups which is slightly irritating but the marshalls are great - I hit the wall at about eleven miles and a Marshall walked alongside me for a bit to check I was okay.

overall it’s a great event, I’ll be back next year but with a bit more preparation for the type of course! 

So, although this race is called the City of Norwich half, its not actually in the city, but in beuatiful Norfolk countryside. It starts at the Norfolk Showground, which means there is lots of parking and loads of ACTUAL TOILETS!!! Loads of marshals in the start area who are all helpful and lovely. There's a big barn where you can pick up a race t-shirt (£9 in advance/£10 on the day) and these are great value for money, I still wear my 2015 one all the time. There is food and drink available, and if you are taking family or friends, this is a great place for them to hang around and wait for you.

I like this course, it a scenic country route, but headphones are banned and theres no music along the way so be ready for that. There is local support, but there are long stretches with no people, and that can be tough. However, this is the second time I've run this one, and the runners themselves have been really great both times, very supportive of each other.

After the half way point it gets tough... Norfolk is often perceived to be flat, but the second half of this race in undulating to say the least. There is a killer hill around 11 miles, but that means some lovely downhill bits too!!

Water is in cups, the stations are very well organised.

Just after 12 miles you head back into the showground and do almost a mile in sight of the finish, but there are loads of supporters along this section which really helps.

The medal is lovely, and a great bag at the end - a branded canvas tote which contained coconut water, a bakewell flapjack, jelly babaies, crisps, and a small Mars style bar, plus a bottle of water and a banana. I got a text with my time almost as soon as I crossed the line, and photos were up the same evening.

This is a really well organised race, just be prepared for the hills!

This was a fab event a true GREEN WAVE of Macmillan runners, great local support with showers and hoses on a roasting hot day. 

That sapping hill at mile 11-12 then the soul destroying route through the finish area when you can see the finish but your garmin says 11.8 miles Ahhhhhhhh

Great little event.

As a long standing fixture of the Norfolk Road running calendar the decision to move the race from Autumn to Spring was going to be popular with it being just about the right time for those tapering for a marathon. 

An idyllic course round Easton and Marlingford. Large numbers and hot temperatures led to a slower than usual pace for this distance. 

It isn't the flattest and does provide Runners with a couple of challenging hills at 9 and 12 miles. 

All in all a great race and one that I'll go back to, although it will never be a PB course - especially in the heat!!

I loved this race! It starts in the Norfolk Showground where there is parking, toilets and changing facilities, and there was somewhere to wait inside which was great because it was a cold and rainy November day. The organisers were all very firendly and cheerful, so were all the marshals around the course. The route takes you through some beautiful Norfolk countryside, and the course is fairly flat until you get near the end where it starts to undulate. The end is hard because you run past the finish and round to cross the line, so you feel like you're there and then realise you're not quite! The goody bag and medal were great. You don't get given a t-shirt but you can buy one and they're not expensive. This is a really great run, and its in April next year so it'll be much warmer (hopefully)! Highly recommended.

This was my 2nd time in taking part in the Norwich half marathon, I was looking forward to it as they'd changed the route to a single lap this year, remembered 4 years ago it was tough on the 2nd lap! The weather is never great in November and today there were no exceptions! Sleet showers before kick off, luckily it had stopped by start time and was pretty much dry throughout the race! It was a good route, scenic, picturesque even if cold and windy. 10 miles went by quite quickly, the last 2 miles I thought were I bit tough as the hills started to appear! The last mile in the show ground feels like it goes on forever because you know you're right near the finish line! Drinks stations were really well done and placed at good points throughout the course. Great team of marshals, volunteers and spectators cheering and being in the cold!
