I love this event. Almost everyone was in comedy Christmas attire, the course is flat and picturesque, no cars, a lap or two of a lake so super easy to navigate. The marshalls are very supportive (even when frozen) and you get mince pies and a Christmas pudding at the finish.
My only gripe was it started about 10mins late and we were all getting cold. But this was soon forgotten once we set off.
There is also loads of parking and it's a very easy place to get to. Worth a trip even if you're not running round.
There were those at the back doing their first event. There were those at the front or going for a PB. Everyone seemed to be loving the freezing conditions and the opportunity to simply run. Lots to love, and a great example of why we run at all.
