Our family looks forward to this race every single year, and it never disappoints. We've been running it for a long time (even back when it was a point-to-point!), and what's amazing is how the organizers manage to keep everything we love while still finding ways to make it better. The addition of heaters in the communal area this year was a game-changer! What truly sets this race apart is the post-race atmosphere. The amazing selection of food trucks turns the finish line into a genuine party and social event. It's such a great way to start the year, celebrating with the running community. I also love that the race promotes the university area and brings so many people to the beautiful UNC Charlotte campus. This is a can't-miss event run by people who clearly care. We'll be back next year!

Food truck choices were amazing! Special shout out to the pizza truck with hot honey pepperoni! I forgot the name but we stood in line for an hour a d it was definitely worth every bite!. Race was very spacious plenty of parking, beer choices were amazing as well (they had a One Piece rice beer!) Heaters, spinning high quality medals, most of the runners were very friendly (rare in the Triad so this was nice lol) the course was okay not award winning or even good but it was decent and very well marked and plenty of cheer stations, happy volunteers and a water stop we hit 2x so great event! It was just a boring course as it was around the stadium and parking lots with a little bit of greenway I prefer more nature or cool architecture so nothing wrong with the course just visually dull. Overall 5 stars!

VIP wasn’t what was expected. If it was cooler the VIP wouldn’t have served much purpose. The food trucks are a great idea but standing in the food line for an hour wasn’t great.
